ABOUT THE FORUM
The year 2015 was a period of serious trials for the international collaboration development on the territory of the CIS. The hopes for recovery of mining industry were dashed. The global economic slowdown, and mainly decreasing demand from China caused a long-lasting period of low prices in the raw materials markets. Devaluation of the national currency provided partial support to companies, however, Ukrainian foreign policy crisis issued more obstacles for mining industry development.
Alongside with that remarkable changes in the foreign policy made the issue of economic relations and international cooperation even more thorny in the post-Soviet space and wider in Europe. The Treaty on the Economic Union came into force on 1 January, 2015. SCO summit took place on 10 July in Ufa. New issues and challenges call for new common solutions with participation of businesses, authorities and supranational institutions.
At the Eurasian Mining Geology Forum the participants are offered to discuss the current mining issues and possible solutions in view of integration processes development in the CIS. On the way to creation of a single raw material market a lot of problems concerning the procedure, directions and mechanisms for its formation, necessary infrastructure and legal base, possible risks and advantages for business are to be solved. We invite interested parties to take part in the forum.
